Jimmy Carter: A Humble Life

Meet James Earl Carter Jr., a man who epitomizes humility and simplicity. Born in Plains, Georgia on October 1, 1924, Carter comes from a family that values hard work and integrity.

His father, James Earl Carter Sr., was a successful businessman, while his mother, Bessie Lilian, devoted her life to nursing.

Having always dreamt of joining the military, Carter attended the Naval Academy in 1943. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Rosalynn.

Their strong bond and compatibility led them to tie the knot in 1946. After retiring from the Navy to focus on family and business, Carter built a modest ranch-style house for his growing family. Today, this house, valued at $209,996, continues to serve as a sanctuary for him.
