The figure, which she had initially thought was just a pile of trash, was now unmistakably human-shaped, though its position and the way it lay made it impossible to tell if the person was alive or not. She could feel a chill creeping up her spine, as the reality of the situation settled in.
With her heart pounding in her chest, she quickly backed away, fumbling for her phone to call for help. The road, once peaceful, now felt oppressive and dark, as though the moment itself had become a haunting memory. She had narrowly avoided a disaster, but in its place, she was left with a disturbing image that would stay with her long after the incident.
