A devastating accident in Ogden Canyon on Saturday took the lives of Richard David Hendrickson, CEO and president of Lifetime Products, and his 16-year-old daughter Sally.
As described by the Utah Highway Patrol, a bulldozer being towed by a truck broke loose and fell onto their pickup truck, killing them instantly.
The accident happened as the tow vehicle, towing a small bulldozer, navigated a sharp right-hand curve. The bulldozer broke loose and slid into Hendrickson’s GMC pickup.
Both Hendrickson and Sally were declared deceased at the scene, while two other adult passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Lifetime Products honored Hendrickson, describing him as more than just a company leader.
