I’ve Not Heard Before..

A young blonde began her new job as a physical education teacher for a class of 16-year-olds. While supervising a soccer game, she noticed one boy standing alone at the far end of the field, away from the others. Feeling concerned, she approached him with a kind smile.

“Hey there, is everything okay?” she asked.
The boy nodded but stayed where he was. Trying to encourage him, she said, “You can join the game and have fun with the rest of the group, you know.”

To her surprise, the boy shook his head. “I think I should stay here,” he replied.
Curious, she gently pressed, “Why is that, sweetheart?”
The boy looked at her, puzzled, and said, “Because I’m the goalie!”

They both burst into laughter, a moment that lightened the mood. Such moments of humor remind us that laughter connects us, relieves tension, and brings joy to life’s simplest situations.
