President Donald Trump has signed executive orders aimed at curbing illegal immigration in the U.S., emphasizing deportation efforts. These measures are part of his administration’s broader immigration enforcement strategy.
To oversee these efforts, Tom Homan, former head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has been appointed as the “border czar.” Homan stated that all individuals in the U.S. illegally are subject to deportation, with a focus on those posing threats to public safety and national security.
As part of the initiative, military personnel have been stationed at the Mexican border, demonstrating a stricter approach. The Trump administration asserts that these actions are necessary to address what it views as a lax approach by the previous administration toward illegal immigration.
According to the administration, illegal immigration poses risks to national security and imposes a significant financial burden on taxpayers. Enforcing immigration laws, they argue, is essential to ensuring the safety and economic prosperity of American citizens.
