I Erased My Age Spots With a Cheap Kitchen Ingredient — Baking Soda Paste

Do you feel less confidence about your skin because of age spots? There is an easy and inexpensive home treatment that will help lighten those stains, so don’t worry. Additionally, the secret ingredient is baking soda, which you most likely already have in your kitchen!

Sodium bicarbonate, commonly referred to as baking soda, has many skin-benefitting properties. It removes dead skin cells and gradually fades age spots, acting as a mild exfoliator. Additionally, its alkaline properties support the natural health of your skin by balancing its pH.

In a bowl, combine the baking soda and a little water to make a thick paste.
Using your fingertips, gently apply the paste on the aging areas. Remind yourself not to scrub too hard!
Give the paste five minutes or so to sit on the areas. Start with two to three minutes if your skin is sensitive.
Use lukewarm water to rinse the paste off, then use a gentle towel to pat dry.

To keep your skin hydrated, remember to moisturize the affected region.
Two to three times a week, repeat this treatment; however, observe how your skin reacts and make any adjustments.
