Customer First, Always

The boss yelled, “Little Johnny, get in my office now!” Johnny rushed in, saying, “Yes, sir!” The boss glared at him. “I saw you arguing with a customer. You know the rule—the customer is always right. Understood?” Johnny nodded. “Yes, sir! The customer is always right.”

“Then what were you fighting about?” the boss demanded. Johnny hesitated before answering, “He called you stupid and an idiot, sir!” The boss scowled. “That idiot! What did you say?” Johnny kept a straight face.

“I told him he was right,” Johnny said. The room fell silent. The boss froze, realizing Johnny had twisted his own rule against him.

The boss had no comeback. Johnny had followed orders perfectly—just not how the boss expected. The moment proved that some rules backfire when taken too far.

In the end, the boss just stared, defeated. Johnny had won without breaking a single rule. Sometimes, the best way to obey is to make the rule expose its own flaw.
