First Lady Melania Trump has always been known for her elegance, independence, and a clear sense of priorities. So when she was reportedly approached to appear on the cover of Vanity Fair this summer, her reaction came as no surprise to those close to her: she laughed and instantly turned it down.
According to Page Six, global editorial director Mark Guiducci tried to woo Melania into the coveted spot, but the First Lady wasn’t interested in playing cover star.
“She doesn’t have time to be sitting in a photo shoot. Her priorities as First Lady are far more important,” a source told the outlet. “These people don’t deserve her anyway. She’s way above doing Vanity Fair.”

The rejection underscores what many admirers say makes Melania stand out from her predecessors: her focus on substance over spectacle.
