When I first met Matt, he seemed like the nicest guy. We got along so well right from the start. What started as a friendship soon turned into feelings, and I fell in love with him. After a couple of months of dating, he proposed, and I said yes. I honestly felt like the happiest person in the world.

At the time, I had a good job that paid well. I could afford a few little luxuries, and I felt like getting married would make my life even better. Matt started asking me to lend him money, and he always promised to pay me back when he got his paycheck. At first, it didn’t bother me because I thought we were building a future together, and I trusted him.

But there was always something off about Matt’s relationship with my mother-in-law, Linda. He was way too concerned about her and always took her side in every situation. He would tell me she was the woman who raised him, and it made me uncomfortable.

Over time, I started noticing things that didn’t add up. Matt would ask for money more often, but he never paid me back when he said he would. He would also say strange things about Linda, making it seem like she was more important than our relationship.
