Cheney died on November 3, 2025, after battling complications from pneumonia and heart and vascular disease. According to his family, he was surrounded by his loved ones: “His beloved wife of 61 years, Lynne, his daughters, Liz and Mary, and other family members were with him as he passed.”
A Lifetime of Health Battles
Cheney’s health struggles spanned decades. He suffered at least five heart attacks since 1978, the first occurring at just 37. In 2012, he underwent a heart transplant after patiently waiting on the transplant list for over 20 months.
