Exact steps Americans must take to get up to $1,500 from vital state program after deadline EXTENDED to December 31

In Pennsylvania, applications for 2024 benefits under the Property and Rental Tax Rebate (PTRR) program will now stay open until December 31, 2025.

The program is designed to help senior citizens, widows/widowers and people with disabilities on limited incomes get money back.

Governor Josh Shapiro’s administration announced the extension, and the Department of Revenue said, “To date, funding has been available to allow all who qualify to benefit from the program.”

To be eligible, applicants must have paid rent or property taxes on their primary home during 2024 and be a resident of the state.
