My husband, Clark, really outdid himself this time. He booked first-class tickets for himself and his mom, leaving me in economy with our kids. When I asked him about our seats, he casually told me that he upgraded just himself and his mom, claiming it was for their comfort. Meanwhile, I was stuck in economy with the kids, and I couldn’t believe it. But I wasn’t about to sit back and accept it.
As we boarded the plane, I realized I had the perfect opportunity for some payback. While going through security, I sneakily grabbed Clark’s wallet and slipped it into my bag. Watching him relax in his spacious first-class seat while I struggled with our kids in the cramped economy section gave me an idea. I knew the flight was about to get much more interesting.
Two hours into the flight, I saw Clark ordering expensive meals and drinks, clearly enjoying his luxury experience. Meanwhile, I was stuck with the snack cart and airline pretzels. Then, just as I hoped, I saw Clark searching frantically for his wallet, realizing it was missing. The flight attendants weren’t happy, and Clark’s panic was priceless. He soon came to me asking for money, and I played it cool, offering him just $200, knowing he needed much more.
By the end of the flight, Clark’s first-class experience was ruined. He had to ask his mom for help, and the whole thing was awkward and uncomfortable. As we landed, I couldn’t help but feel satisfied. I kept his wallet hidden a little longer, planning to treat myself to something nice before returning it. It was a small, creative act of justice for his selfishness. Next time, he’ll think twice before leaving me behind in economy!
