The family of former NASCAR champion Greg Biffle and his loved ones has issued its first public statement since the devastating plane crash that killed him, his wife Cristina Grossu Biffle, and their two children. The tragedy occurred on Dec. 18, 2025, when a Cessna C550 business jet crashed near Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina, killing all seven people on board.
A Family Statement of Grief
In a joint statement, the families of the victims expressed deep sorrow and heartbreak. They said they are “devastated by the loss of our loved ones” and that the tragedy has left them “heartbroken beyond words.”
They described Greg and Cristina as devoted parents and active philanthropists, whose lives revolved around their young son Ryder, 5, and Greg’s daughter Emma, 14—who he shared with his ex‑wife Nicole Lunders.
The statement also remembered other victims—Dennis Dutton, his son Jack, and family friend Craig Wadsworth, noting all were dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
The families asked for privacy, compassion, and understanding as they grieve and support each other during this “incredibly difficult time.”
