Donald Trump experienced an awkward moment on Sunday, June 8, when he stumbled while climbing the stairs to Air Force One. The 78-year-old was en route to Camp David in Maryland to meet with military leaders amid protests in Los Angeles over immigration raids.
Although Trump discussed the possibility of invoking the Insurrection Act, he stated that the protests hadn’t reached that level yet. Nevertheless, he deployed National Guard troops to LA, a move criticized by California Governor Gavin Newsom for potentially worsening tensions.
The trip up the stairs quickly went viral, with many drawing comparisons to past incidents involving President Joe Biden, who had previously been mocked by Trump for similar stumbles.
Social media users were quick to point out the irony, referencing Trump’s past comments about Biden’s falls, particularly the time Biden tripped over a sandbag and his own staircase stumble on Air Force One. Many called Trump’s misstep “karma,” noting the reversal of roles.Watch Video Below
